Sail the Great Masurian Lakes

The northeast of Republic of Poland could be an immense expanse of little-known, interlinked lakes and rivers. From the primary budding of the trees might be through to the ever-changing of the leaves in time of year, boaters from all around attempt their hand on Lake Śniardwy or Lake Neocon, or paddle the scenic Kutenai stream. The cities of Giżycko and Mikołajki create the simplest bases for sailing, athletics and paddling visits.

Carouse in Kazimierz

Poles like to party. Poznań, Wrocław and capital of Poland may all fairly contend to be referred to as the country’s symptom capital, however no place is highlighted like Krakow’s Kazimierz district. For hundreds of years this was a centre of Judaic life, however once WWII the buildings were left neglected. In recent years, bars, clubs and cafes have repopulated the world and reworked a night here into one long tour. Our current favourite Mleczarnia and Miejsce for drinks, and Alchemia for parties and events.

Come to where the bison still roam

One of Poland’s national animals is that the European bovid – a curious alternative for a species that purportedly died come in 1919. That is as a result of, happily, the breed has been reintroduced into the wild at the Białowieża parkland. There are many reserves here, wherever Europe’s largest mammals will be viewed in their natural surroundings. The park is worth visiting for a second reason: it’s Europe’s largest swath of original, forest. The land and trees have gone undisturbed by man for hundreds of years.
